What Are Air Casters?
Air Casters are load moving devices that are
designed to work in groups of four or more to be able to lift and move heavy loads across a
floor surface using air film technology - think hovercraft.
Similar to casters of any sort, air casters are used to make moving things much
easier - just like your refrigerator or sofa. However, they do it on a much larger scale, and are able to
lift heavy machinery (and other heavy loads) from half a ton in weight right up to 100 tons or
more.
Air casters are constructed using three components: a load module, an air bearing and an
air flow control device.
Here is a diagram highlighting the composite of an air caster:

Air Casters are fast becoming the machinery moving
and load moving equipment of choice for many companies who wish to move heavy
loads within the workplace. Such companies that use Hovair Systems' products include Boeing, Lockheed
Martin, Goodrich Aerospace, Cirque du Soleil, Pilkington, Nissan and many more.
