Air Caster Remote Control Units
Hovair Systems air casters heavy lifting equipment supplied in kit form are all capable of being controlled by a
Remote Control Unit.
It is essential to understand that these remote control units do not perform the same functions as a remote
control as we have come to know them in recent years.
Remote control units for Hovair's heavy lifting systems do not provide propulsion or steering. They are designed
to control the air flow to the complete system from one central point - the remote box.
Supplied in variations for either a 4 or 6 station heavy lifting system, the remote controls have an
air inlet port, incoming air pressure gauge, and four or six air flow outlets which run to the heavy lifting
system.
All air flow to the individual air caster modules and air bearings are controlled from the main RC box. This
saves the operators from having to make continual adjustments to the air pressure by having to go to each
individual air caster module unit to do so. Everything can be done on the fly, so to speak, from the RC box.
There are two types of remote control available, both performing the same work, but with slight variations.

RCK Remote
Control Units
The RCK remote control is optional on all round steel and square aluminum air
casters heavy lifting equipment. They are compatible with all 4-station systems.
RCK remote control units come complete with hand-held umbilical control box for fine tuning
of air flow when in operation - see graphics below. They are also available for 6-station
systems on request.

ARC Remote
Control Units
The ARC remote control units, like the RCK model, are optional on all 4-station
air caster heavy lifting systems. It is a little smaller in size and has two stout carry handles as
well as a set of casters on its underside which allows the operator to let it roll behind the
system while in operation. A hand-held remote pendant umbilical is not included with this
model.
