Air Caster Mounting Plates
Air caster mounting plates are steel or aluminum plates, pre-drilled and tapped, used when your air
caster load moving equipment needs to be fitted permanently to your heavy machines.
When would you use mounting plates? Mounting plates are used when a load / machine is
required to be moved frequently, as opposed to a machine that is rarely moved once it is in its home position.
Having to set up your air caster system each time a machine is required to be moved can be time-consuming and
frustrating especially if the machine is moved two or three times as week. In situations such as this, it is far
better to mount the load modules permanently to the machine.
When air caster modules are permanently fitted, the accompanying air hoses can be safely tucked
away or attached to the sides of the load, because being permament fixtures ensures that they rarely need to be
moved and can be stowed out of the way.
Once an air caster system has been permanently fitted to the load / machine, the air flow control into the load
modules will only need to be set up one time and those settings should suffice for each subsequent use. There may
be the odd occasion when a little fine tuning might be required, but generally they remain the same.
When the load / machine is required to be moved again, all you have to do is snap on the air supply
hose from your air source and off you go. It really is that easy.
